General
The poor condition of roads and local habits (speeding, drunk driving, disrespect of traffic) make driving dangerous!
Note that intercity buses are sometimes the target of armed attacks, especially in outlying areas of the country groups.
The main means of transport in the country:
Coach: different grade levels and services are offered.
Aerovans (minibus).
Ejecutivos (large, comfortable coaches with toilets, services hostess on board).
Collectivos: These taxis are shared between several occupants and can go anywhere in the country.
Taxi: metered in large cities (in the rest of the country prices are set in advance by sector). Opportunity to negotiate a taxi for a long distance.
Train: there is only one train, the Tren Turistico de la Sabana (between Bogota and Nemocón).
